Monitor system sensors such as CPU and motherboard temperature.<\/p>\n<p>Installation process<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>install it through yum<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; #yum install lm_sensors<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; or you can install it through RPM ( <a href=\"http:\/\/fr2.rpmfind.net\/\/linux\/RPM\/redhat\/7.3\/i386\/lm_sensors-2.6.1-1.i386.html\">http:\/\/fr2.rpmfind.net\/\/linux\/RPM\/redhat\/7.3\/i386\/lm_sensors-2.6.1-1.i386.html<\/a> )<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; # wget <a href=\"http:\/\/fr2.rpmfind.net\/\/linux\/RPM\/redhat\/7.3\/i386\/lm_sensors-2.6.1-1.i386.html\">http:\/\/fr2.rpmfind.net\/\/linux\/RPM\/redhat\/7.3\/i386\/lm_sensors-2.6.1-1.i386.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; # rpm -Uvh lm_sensors-2.6.1-1.i386.rpm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2.&nbsp; Detect the sensors on your mainboard, (run as root) <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; # \/usr\/sbin\/sensors-detect<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Accept all the default values.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At the end it will print out something like:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>To make the sensors modules behave correctly, add these lines to<br \/>\n\/etc\/modprobe.conf:<\/p>\n<p>#&mdash;-cut here&mdash;-<br \/>\n# I2C module options<br \/>\nalias char-major-89 i2c-dev<br \/>\n#&mdash;-cut here&mdash;-<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Add the line, as instructed, to the end of <em>\/etc\/modprobe.conf <\/em> file.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3.&nbsp; Ignore the other instructions. Now run:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; #service lm_sensors start<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This will start the lm_sensors service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Now run:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; #sensors -s<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There should be no output.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
