What is Xcache ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

XCache<\/span> is a fast, stable <\/span>PHP<\/a> opcode cacher that has been tested and is now running on production servers under high load. It is tested (on linux) and supported on all of the latest <\/span>PHP<\/a> cvs branches such as PHP_4_3 PHP_4_4 <\/del>PHP_5_1 PHP_5_2 HEAD(6.x).<\/p>\n

Luckily xcache module are availabe on ubuntu apt-get (php5-xcache version\u00a0 1.2.1-3 ), just run this command<\/p>\n

# apt-get install php5-xcache
\nafter it is finished just type dpkg-l to see the modules<\/p>\n

# dpkg -l | grep xcach
\nii\u00a0 php5-xcache\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1.2.1-3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fast, stable PHP opcode cacher<\/p>\n

And then restart your apache<\/p>\n

# \/etc\/init.d\/apache2 restart
\n* Restarting web server apache2<\/p>\n

and check\u00a0 your php is it installed with xcache or not<\/p>\n

# php -v
